New powers to tackle the serious problem of waste crime will be granted, and further action opened for consultation in a crackdown on illegal sites, Environment Minister Therese Coffey has announced, following the recent launch of the 25 Year Environment Plan. Statutory sick pay and employment and support allowance in the UK do not meet the requirements of EU law, according to the Council of Europe’s European Committee of Social Rights (ECSR).
